I really love these characters and I can now picture the scenes where most of the action takes place in my head. A wonderful extension of the Max and Edie stories with a different treatment than the previous stories... in this one it is more about 'why" than "who"....but I should not say more to give it away. I confess to being a fast reader ( ok...ok... I scan a lot of stories...)...but with this author's work I find I have to slow to down to catch the subtleties and the intelligent humor. JT really switches it up this time around. It has you thinking you have it all figured out - beware, you don't. Once again we enjoy the sleuthing of Max and his team. Also front and center, the newest additions, Petra and Riley. A frightening tale with lots of twists and turns. Great read.
Total Hit, terrific characters, dialog so real you're 'there'...any detective genre Fan will Love these characters/stories! Would make a wonderful mini series!!
Truly enjoyed it. Would recommend it to all my friends. Good reading and fast pace. Does drag. Love all the characters. They seem so real.
Perhaps Valentine's darkest -or saddest book yet. Good plot twists and our detective solved with his usual aplomb but what a hateful bad-guy.
JT Valentine isn't sparing us the emotional roller coaster that comes from loving and losing someone close. Again, I am stuck with my in hand from start to finish - I simply couldn't put this mystery down!
Hit and Miss what a great book. Each book gets better and better. This one had me fooled almost to the end. If you haven't read any of the Night Walker. Series you got to. They are easy reading and really keep you interested. When I start reading one I just have to keep reading till I finish. I can't wait to see if Max and Edie get married anytime soon. Can't wait for the next one.
Another great mystry for the detive and his eclectic staff to solve. I downloaded it on my iPad and was able to read it everywhere! And it was that kind of who done it that makes you want to keep reading. Some great suspects to investigate who are scary, keep you guessing and will take some unusual methods to ferret out who really did it. The real villain is a perfect mix of deception and innocence - so will this one get away from Max? You have to read it for yourself. Enjoy. (PS - If you did not read the original Knight Walker - what are you waiting for?)
